Good for 12V :LED Strips
I bought several of these when on sale and measured their performance. Semi-Regulated would be a better description - voltage increases only modestly at light loads unlike the old-style transformer/rectifier adapters. With 123VAC input I measured 14.08V with no load, 12.9V @ 40mA, 12.5V @ 120mA, and 12.1V at 600mA. There is indeed no line regulation - the output voltage will decline in proportion to line voltage decrease below 120V. Efficiency level is V which is at least 80% under load and less than 0.3W with no load; much better than transformer-type adapters. All-in-all, ideal for driving stick-on LED tape. Just be sure the length of tape used does not exceed 0.7A.
